The Scotsman (AFE424A-1A) self-contained, air-cooled ice machine produces flake ice, which consists of small, hard bits of ice. Flake ice cools more quickly than other forms of ice and has a low production cost, making a it a great choice for many businesses. The flake ice molds to any shape for convenient use in displays and salad bars, and the compact size of this unit is perfect for use in smaller applications, such as in bakeries, ice cream parlors, small cafes, and health care facilities. It delivers a steady flow of ice for fast recovery of ice supply. The Scotsman ice machine adapts to numerous under-counter applications and will fit under most counters. A slide-away access door provides convenient and easy access to ice and the 7-ft. power cord is great for quick installation. The machine is completely serviceable from front side, yet has rear utility connections. The 3-piece cabinet is easily removable from front and is constructed of durable rust-free rotocast plastic. Four plastic legs are included to provide a minimum height including adjustable leveling foot. Installation note: Allow space at left side and back for ventilation and utility connections.
