The QX200 AutoDG Droplet Digital PCR System provides absolute quantification of target DNA or RNA molecules for EvaGreen and probe-based Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR) applications. The Automated Droplet Generator simplifies the ddPCR workflow, making digital PCR both scalable and practical. The AutoDG Instrument eliminates user-to-user variability, allowing you to fully exploit the precision of ddPCR technology by providing more consistent droplet counts across users and plates. The AutoDG Instrument also minimizes hands-on time — it takes less than 5 minutes to load the instrument, and no supervision or user activity is required during droplet generation.

The AutoDG Instrument partitions each sample in a 96-well PCR plate into ~20,000 uniform nanoliter-sized droplets in which nucleic acid molecules are randomly distributed. Every droplet serves as an individual PCR reaction in Bio-Rad’s Droplet Digital (ddPCR) PCR System. After partitioning, the plate is sealed with the PX1 Plate Sealer, and PCR is run to end point in a thermal cycler. The droplets in each sample can then be analyzed using a QX600 or QX200 Droplet Reader.
