The white light laser source of the Leica TCS SP8 X perfectly matches the wavelength of any fluorophore. Up to eight excitation lines can be used – simultaneously. By tuning both excitation and detection, complete excitation emission spectra can be acquired.

With this spectral information, any dye can be optimally excited with minimum cross-excitation and specimen damage. In addition, the pulsed White Light Laser (WLL) supplies excitation light for fluorescence lifetime measurements.

FLIM provides information about the direct environment of a molecule, like local pH or binding to another molecule.

 

Leica TCS SP8 X  - The Only Freely Tunable Confocal System


The white light laser source of the Leica TCS SP8 X perfectly matches the spectral properties of any fluorophore excitable in the visible spectral range. Continuously tunable excitation and detection ensure best image quality and sample protection. Up to eight excitation lines can be used – simultaneously.

FREELY TUNABLE CONFOCAL IMAGING WITH THE LEICA TCS SP8 X


The White Light Laser (WLL) is the optimal excitation source to image any kind of dye combination. The acousto-optical beam splitter (AOBS) is the key to selecting any wavelength from the white spectrum. Completed by the tunable spectral detector (SP), the Leica TCS SP8 X
represents the only filter-free versatile confocal microscope.

A two-dimensional excitation-emission spectrum characterizes the spectral properties of any fluorescent specimen. Fluorophores with either identical emission spectra or excitation spectra are immediately discriminated. This is essential for optimizing multi-color fluorescence experiments.

The highest image contrast can be obtained by LightGate. This is an innovative, filter-free method to quench unwanted signals. An adjustable time gate switches off the data collection during the white light laser pulse excluding any reflected photons from the signal. Additionally, non-wanted fluorescence can be removed by adjusting the time gate.

Being a pulsed laser, the WLL is even suitable for FLIM measurements. Its continuous tunability allows you to perform FLIM measurement at any excitation wavelength. The optimal laser repetition rate is selected via an optionally integrated pulse picker, which ensures reliable FLIM results.

 

DMI8 

The modular DMi8 inverted microscope is the heart of the DMi8  platform solution. For routine to live cell research, the DMi8  platform is a complete solution. Whether you need to precisely follow the development of a single cell in a dish, screen through multiple assays, obtain single molecule resolution, or tease out behaviors of complex processes, a DMi8  system will enable you to see more, see faster, and find the hidden.

Flexibility is built-in, allowing you to add established options like DIC for unstained samples and Intelligent Automation. For time-lapse experiments use precise focus control with Adaptive Focus Control and Closed Loop FocusThis novel design facilitates the integration of additional fluorescence light sources and laser systems for advanced applications like:

SuperK Extreme EXW -12

The SuperK EXTREME supercontinuum white light lasers are broad as a lamp and bright as a laser. They deliver high brightness diffraction limited light in the entire 400-2400 nm region and by adding one of our computer controlled filters, the SuperK can be converted into an ultra-tunable laser with up to 16 simultaneous lines. Our lasers are maintenance free and the fully fiber monolithic architecture ensures excellent reliability and a lifetime of thousands of hours. The high power levels comes with an industry leading reliability of thousands of hours, and an easy to use interface making the SuperK EXTREME, simple to operate. Moreover, our unique instant-on technology and on-the-fly variable repetition rate ensures maximum productivity. The SuperK EXTREME series covers all wavelengths in the range 400-2400 nm and with more than 8 W of total power and 2W of visible power, the SuperK EXTREME lasers are the brightest supercontinuum lasers on the market.

 

Okolab Cage Incubator 

The microscope enclosure creates a large volume around the microscope in which temperature is controlled by recirculating warm air. It is made of polycarbonate panels and encloses microscope stage, nosepiece and objectives. It doesn't affect focus stability. All electronics including EMCCDs, spinning disk confocal etc. are left outside of the enclosure avoiding exposure to 37°C.

The enclosure closely follows the microscope profile and is supported by posts resting on the vibration isolation table.

 

PDL 800-D Pulsed Diode Laser

The PDL 800-D is a single channel driver for the picosecond pulsed laser diode heads of the LDH Series and LDH-FA Series as well as for the sub-nanosecond pulsed LEDs of the PLS Series. Wavelength changes are simply performed by plugging in a different laser or LED head.

 

Repetition rates up to 80 MHz

The PDL 800-D provides driving pulses for the laser / LED heads with repetition rates up to 80 MHz, which are derived from internal low-jitter crystal oscillators. The PDL 800-D features two internal crystal oscillators of 80 MHz and 1 MHz, which can be individually selected by the user. In order to match different application needs, the PDL 800-D allow to further reduce the repetition rate by factors of 2, 4, 8, 16 or 32. This is easily accomplished by a switch on the front panel and leads to repetition rates between 80 MHz and 31.25 kHz.

 

TMC Vibration Control Cleanbench Gimball Piston 

. TMC's vibration isolation lab tables lead the industry in performance and are ideal for a wide variety of applications including AFM, Confocal Microscopy, IVF, Patch-Clamping, Interferometry, and Metrology. CleanBench incorporates TMC's unique Gimbal Piston Vibration Isolators and a tabletop with enhanced performance and features. 
 

All CleanBench tables incorporate TMC’s Gimbal Piston Air Isolators as a standard feature. The Gimbal Piston has consistently shown to out-perform other air isolators in side-by-side testing. It offers outstanding low frequency vibration isolation in all axes and maintains its performance specifications even when subjected to extremely low input levels of excitation. Proprietary damping techniques allow the Gimbal Piston to stabilize relatively top-heavy payloads and quickly dissipate disturbances of the isolated table top.
