The Sample Access Manager (SAM) System is a 2nd generation product that has been
delivered to sites in North America, Europe and Asia. The system has been adopted by
both research operations and commercial businesses specializing in the supply and sale of
precious materials. The main uses of the system are in the areas of Biobanking, Drug
Discovery, Compound Storage and Infectious Diseases.
The SAM System provides a self-contained tube and plate storage platform with an
optional integral tube picker, and compact enough to fit into a standard laboratory. The
small footprint allows for multiple units to be placed side-by-side for increased capacity.
This configuration eliminates the chance of jeopardizing a complete collection if using a
single large capacity store. A -80C inert gas storage environment provides the best
possible protection for stored compounds, insuring their long-term integrity, viability and
security.
