Agilent Technologies 1200 series HPLC Components

**Unit was tested to specifications. Unit was tested with isopropanol and water to get some comparative diagnostics results. Photos of the laptop results will be attached to the listing. The unit has some mix/match components of the 1100 series and 1200 series to make a complete unit. The unit has some very minor signs of cosmetic wear on the exterior of the unit. Unit also has some signs of cosmetic wear on the inside of a few components of the stack as well... (Glassware pictured is NOT included.) please see photos for more details. 

Agilent 1200 HPLC System with Diode Array Detector


The Agilent 1200 HPLC System guarantees the most efficient mixing and pulse-free solvent delivery for consistently fast and accurate results. The system’s optimized design using a quaternary pump allows variable stroke volumes for stable solvent flow. This electronically activated inlet valve runs synchronous to the pistons to eliminate vapor formation in volatile solvent, making the Agilent 1200 both remarkably easy-to-use and maintenance-free. It also features a high-speed proportioning valve and a pre-configured degasser, which allow convenient low-pressure mixing and a large solvent choice flexibility. The HPLC System’s vacuum degasser ensures reduced operating costs without the use of helium and optimum instrument performance.


The Agilent 1200 Diode Array Detector verifies separation quality with peak purity, multiple signals, and spectral libraries during your analytical quantification, offering an extended wavelength range with the highest sensitivity. The VWD and diode array detectors allow for automated wavelength verification for performance tracking. The Agilent 1200’s temperature management system ensures optimum baseline stability-even under rough ambient conditions. This detector features superb illumination using combined deuterium and tungsten lamps for the highest intensity and lowest detection limit from 190 to 950 nm, 1024 diodes and 1-nm slit for highest spectral resolution. The programmable slit helps you explore the spectral landscape for faster sample characterization, ensuring higher sensitivity or lower baseline noise as necessary on the 1200. Slit settings can be stored and reported from 1 – 16 nm with raw data for GLP traceability.

G1316A TCC (Thermos tatted Column Compartment)

  • The Agilent 1200 Series G1316A TCC Thermos tatted Column Compartment provides stable column cooling and heating up to 80 °C for standard applications. An optional 2-position/6-port switching valve is available for 600 bar operation.

G1330B FC/ALS (ALS Thermostat Module)

  • The Agilent 1200 ALS Thermostat, G1330B FC/ALS controls temperature for either HPLCs or fraction collectors. The ALS thermostat contains Peltier-controlled heat exchangers. A fan draws air from the area above the sample vial tray of the autosampler and is then blown through the fins of the cooling/heating module. There it is cooled or heated according to the temperature setting.

The specially-designed thermos tatted sample trays hold either 100 × 1.8 ml vials or two well plates and 10 × 1.8 ml vials.  The thermos tatted air enters the autosampler through a recess underneath the specially designed sample tray. The air is then distributed evenly through the sample tray ensuring effective temperature control, regardless of how many vials are in the tray. In cooling mode condensation is generated on the cooled side of the Peltier elements. This condensed water is safely guided into the leak system.

G1329A ALS (Autosampler Module) 

  • The Agilent 1200 Series autosamplers are designed for use with other modules of the Agilent 1200 Series LC system, with the HP 1050 Series, or with other LC systems if adequate remote-control inputs and outputs are available. The autosamplers are controlled from the Agilent 1200 Series control module (G4208 An Instant Pilot) or from the Agilent ChemStation for LC.

G1322A Degasser

  • The Agilent 1200 Series Vacuum Degasser comprises a 4-channel vacuum container, including 4 tubular plastic membranes, and a vacuum pump. When the vacuum degasser is switched on, the control circuit turns on the vacuum pump which generates a partial vacuum in the vacuum container.
