The vortexing action is created by securing the top of the vessel in place while allowing the bottom to move freely in a defined 3.6mm eccentric orbit.
The VWR analog vortexer features solid-state electronic control that allows adjustable speed from 1200–2400 rpm and an automatic timer adjustable from 0–60 seconds for simple repeat procedures. The conveniently angled front panel features main power switch, knobs for speed and timer adjustment, and mode switch with timed mode, off, and continuous mode operations.
Two stainless steel posts hold the support plate securely in place for quiet, rattle-free mixing. Support plate is easily adjusted by loosening knobs and lifting the plate up and down. The circular groove around the top of the taller post allows the support plate to swing away from tray for easy removal of samples. The suction-cup feet dampen motion and prevent sliding on the work surface. Constructed of rugged stainless steel with corrosion-resistant paint. Equipped with a powerful, permanent magnet motor with sealed ball bearings. The motor is rated for continuous duty.
