HEPA/UV3 PCR Systems bring together a HEPA filter, UV irradiation, and antimicrobial stainless steel to create an ideal environment for PCR experiments. Two system sizes are available: cabinet and larger workstation featuring:

• Effective decontamination of the system with a four-stage HEPA filter system
• Fast inactivation of DNA between experiments with shortwave 254nm UV
• Clean environment with antimicrobial coated stainless steel

Filtered and sterilized air circulates from the HEPA/UV system into the PCR chamber via positive pressure laminar airflow. The unit features pre-filter, carbon-filter, HEPA-filter, and ZerOzone ozone eliminating catalyst grid. The grid eliminates ozone and the degrading effects of ozone microarray data. The catalyst converts ozone to oxygen on contact. The UV/HEPA units feature four-stage filters:

• Pre-filter helps to preserve the life of other filters by capturing large dust particles
• Carbon-filter removes ozone, gases, odor, and smoke
• HEPA-filter provides a barrier (99.99%) against dust, bacterial and molds down to 0.3-micron particles
• ZerOzone ozone eliminating catalyst grid reduces significant amounts of ozone, eliminating the degrading effects of ozone on microarray data; the catalyst converts ozone to oxygen on contact

HEPA duct features antimicrobial coated stainless steel that resists bacteria growth. The side access with a slide-out design makes changing filters and UV tubes easy. The duct includes a shortwave (254nm) ultraviolet tube for eliminating airborne microbes.
The PCR Systems feature UV irradiation and antimicrobial stainless steel to prevent PCR contamination in the work area. The shortwave 254nm UV quickly inactivates DNA between experiments. Additional contamination control is provided with a uniquely coated stainless steel, a safe and natural antimicrobial agent, providing continuous antimicrobial protection. The easy-clean surface resists the growth of destructive bacteria.

Decontaminate apparatus and reagents within minutes with the built-in 30-minute timer. A safety shut-off switch automatically turns the ultraviolet light off when the door is open. The acrylic enclosure is UV blocking. The hinged door flips up for easy access to the work area.
The systems are designed for placement of instruments on the base work area or tubes, flasks, and pipettes on the two removable shelves. The built-in power outlets allow the operation of equipment within the work area.
The built-in UV/air recirculator sterilizes circulated air throughout the chamber, eliminating airborne microbes.
