The CryoCooler™ is a valuable tool to help preserve the integrity of frozen vials of cultured cells and tissue specimens during routine handling. .
Powered by liquid nitrogen, the CryoCooler™ provides a portable, cryogenic environment in which frozen samples and vials can be safely handled. The CryoCooler™ has a 6”× 5” well that can be used as a cryogenic work surface or accommodate a 5”× 5” standard cryogenic storage box. An adsorbent pillow is needed (sold separately) beneath the work surface, which, once “charged” with liquid nitrogen, slowly releases cooling liquid nitrogen vapor. Once the chamber is fully charged with liquid nitrogen, it will maintain temperatures well below -130°C for up to 4 hours with the lid closed and 3 hours with the lid open.
